Fence and deck cleaning in Middle Tennessee

Bring the backyard back into the picture.

Your fence frames the yard, and your deck is where people actually spend time. We clean wood, vinyl and composite surfaces with a method that fits the material—not the pressure setting used on concrete.

Sun, shade and rain all leave a mark

Your fence and deck can age differently in the same backyard.

The sunny fence may turn gray while the shaded deck grows green. Add wet leaves, foot traffic and Tennessee humidity, and outdoor spaces can look tired long before the rest of the home does.

Wood graying is not the same thing as algae, and vinyl is not cleaned like lumber. We look at the material, age, coating, fasteners and condition so we can separate removable buildup from natural weathering.

Where force could raise wood grain, scar vinyl or disturb an old finish, we use lower pressure, appropriate solutions and a controlled rinse. The goal is a cleaner backyard—not fuzzy boards and wand marks.

Why the backyard feels different afterward

Make the space feel ready for people again.

Enjoy the view from the porch

A cleaner fence becomes a better backdrop for the lawn, landscaping, cookouts and everyday time outside.

Give appropriate wood a better starting point

If staining or sealing is next, cleaning and optional brightening can be an important preparation step.

Keep concrete pressure off the wood

Wood, vinyl and composite surfaces each need different pressure, chemistry and expectations.

Know what cleaning can change

Cleaner wood is not the same thing as newly refinished wood.

Cleaning removes surface buildup and can improve weathered wood, but it cannot replace a rotten board, reset a nail, repair peeling coatings or undo damaged fibers. Old stain and sealer also change how evenly a board cleans up.

If you plan to stain or seal afterward, mention it when you ask for a quote. That helps us talk through cleaning, brightening and realistic dry time with the next step in mind.

A gentler backyard game plan

We start by figuring out what the surface actually is.

1

Send a few wide photos

Show us the length of the fence or size of the deck plus the greenest or darkest areas.

2

We identify the material

Wood species, vinyl, composite, coatings and existing damage all affect the approach.

3

Clear the space; clean carefully

Furniture and loose items move aside, then we use a controlled method around the home and yard.

4

Talk through what comes next

We review the result and point out natural weathering, old coatings or repairs that cleaning cannot change.

Before the next cookout

Practical fence and deck questions.

Can pressure washing damage a wood fence or deck?

Excessive pressure or a narrow tip can damage wood. Casey’s evaluates the material and uses a controlled approach designed to clean without treating wood like concrete.

Will gray wood look new again?

Cleaning and wood brightening can improve weathered wood, but color varies with age, species, prior coatings and sun exposure. Refinishing is a separate process.

Can you clean vinyl fencing?

Yes. Vinyl fences often respond well to an appropriate soft-wash approach for organic growth and surface grime.

Do you stain or seal decks and fences?

Ask about the current scope when requesting a quote. Cleaning and wood brightening may be offered as preparation, while coating availability can vary.

Can slippery deck steps be cleaned?

Organic buildup can often be removed, improving appearance and traction. Structural issues, worn materials and ongoing shade or moisture still need separate attention.
